Célia GOUVEIA is an integrated researcher at CIES-IUL - Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology, at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL). Her main research interests explore the interface between sport, culture, and identity, particularly within the European and Asian contexts. She has also published on the political economy of football, with a focus on the impact of sports broadcasting and the governance of sport.
